On Today’s Show:

I had a blast on this week’s show as Todd and James both joined me to tackle your questions. We started off the show with a question about Perlick flow control faucets and why they aren’t “full” flow control. As Todd called them, “flow control light” might be the better phrase. Learn more about why CMBecker flow controls are your best solution for proper restriction flow control.
Next, we have a listener interested in learning more about what a diacetyl rest is and when you need to do one. Specifically – are you utilizing a diacetyl rest for hybrid beers like kolsch?
After that, we address a question regarding when to compensate water volume: pre-boil or post-boil. There are a lot of factors that may change how/when you do it but I think we addressed most cases.
Then we wrap up this week’s episode with a question about brewing crispy pilsners. What’s the most crucial part of the brew day to achieve crispiness? Tune in to find out!
